Helpful Tips For Your Portraits:
Do's and Dont's:
Remember when you are planning on a family portrait to dress similarly from head to toe. Try to dress in the same tones and styles and remember that loud prints and bright colors take away from the facial focal point.
DO:
Wear earthy tones such as beige, tan, brown, greens and subtle blues for your outdoor portraits. White can wash out a photo and take away from the facial focal point.
Bring your best smile. Remember to have fun! We are very easy going and we don't just love what we do, we love the amazing people, YOU, that we work with. Tell us about yourself, your family, your interests during the shoot. If you know a good joke, please, tell us! The more you can be yourself, the better your photos are going to be. Relax, converse and be yourself!
Let your children run and play. We don't just concentrate on the perfect family portrait, we love to grab those candid shots of little people doing what they do best, play! Remember that children have a very short attention span and if they are allowed to play and take a break from the shoot, the more likely they are to sit for a few minutes in between for that perfect traditional family portrait.
Feel free to voice your ideas and opinions and ask any questions you may have. We judge no one and the photos they want. If you want provocative yet tasteful photos done of yourself for that special someone in your life, please, do not hesitate to tell us! We treat our clients and their requests with the utmost professionalism and modesty to make you as comfortable as possible.

DON'T:
Don't wear bright colors or loud prints for family portraits.
Remember that sleeveless shirts can make arms look heavier.
Don't wear glitter as it can appear as dirt or sand in photos.
Don't wear tight or thin clothing as the camera can pick up things that you may not want to be seen.
Remember to check your clothing for rips, stains, missing buttons, etc.
If you wear both eyeglasses and contacts, remember to wear your contacts for your photos to reduce the risk of reflections in your glasses. If you do NOT wear contacts but wear eyeglasses, we have certain posing techniques and lens filters to reduce glare and reflections.
